Privacy policy.

This policy explains what information Service Boss collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

Effective date: May 2, 2026

Service Boss LLC ("Service Boss," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to serviceboss.io, app.serviceboss.io, and the websites, software, forms, calendars, chat, messaging, automation, hosting, marketing, and related services we provide.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your name, business name, email address, phone number, website, location, project details, messages, call booking details, form submissions, account information, support requests, billing details, and any files, photos, logos, customer data, or business materials you choose to provide.

When you use our website or client systems, we may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location, timestamps, interactions, cookies, analytics identifiers, log data, and diagnostic information.

If you are a client, we may process information about your leads, customers, appointments, calls, form submissions, chat messages, reviews, campaign contacts, and other business records as needed to provide the services you selected.

2. Billing and payment information

Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors. We may receive billing contact details, payment status, invoice history, subscription status, and limited payment details such as card brand and last four digits. We do not intentionally store full payment card numbers on our own website servers.

3. How we use information

We use information to operate our website and app, respond to inquiries, schedule calls, provide proposals, create and manage accounts, build and support client websites, deliver hosting and automation services, process payments, send invoices, provide support, monitor security and performance, improve our services, personalize client systems, comply with legal obligations, and protect our rights.

We may also use contact information to send service updates, account messages, appointment reminders, project updates, educational content, case studies, promotional messages, or other marketing communications where permitted by law and your communication choices.

4. Text messages and email

If you provide your phone number and consent to receive texts from Service Boss, we may send customer care, appointment, project, account, or marketing messages depending on what you agreed to receive. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Consent to marketing texts is not required to buy services from us.

We do not sell or share SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties for their own marketing. Service providers that help us deliver messages may receive information only as needed to provide messaging services for us.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. We may still send transactional or relationship messages about active services, billing, security, legal notices, or account administration.

5. Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, logs, and similar technologies to understand site traffic, improve performance, remember preferences, protect against abuse, and measure marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly without them.

6. How we share information

We may share information with service providers, contractors, and platforms that help us operate the business and provide services, including hosting, DNS, forms, calendar booking, chat, CRM, AI tools, SMS, email, analytics, payments, security, support, reporting, file storage, and project management providers.

We may also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, to enforce agreements, with your direction or consent, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of exchanging it for money. We do not sell or share SMS consent data for third-party marketing.

7. Client data and customer data

When we process information about a client's leads, customers, appointments, messages, or campaigns, we generally do so to provide services to that client. The client is responsible for the accuracy of the data they provide, the legality of their customer communications, and honoring customer requests that apply to their own business.

8. AI and automation providers

Some services may use AI or automation providers to draft content, support chat, classify messages, summarize information, or assist workflows. We use these tools to provide and improve services, but clients should review automated content and responses before relying on them for business, legal, financial, or customer-facing decisions.

9. Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, manage accounts, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and operate our business. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, client settings, legal requirements, and backup cycles.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No website, app, platform, or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your choices

You may ask us to update, access, correct, or delete certain personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required or allowed by law, including for billing, security, legal, or legitimate business purposes.

You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us. You may opt out of Service Boss text messages by replying STOP. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

12. State privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights under state laws, such as rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and rights to opt out of certain uses. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law. If a state privacy law does not apply to us because of size, revenue, data volume, or other thresholds, we may still try to honor reasonable requests when practical.

13. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

14. Links and third-party sites

Our website and services may link to third-party websites, platforms, or tools. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

15. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last updated. Continued use of our website, app, or services after updates means the updated policy applies.
